Once again it’s time to get your boots on and your walking gear out to head for the hills with Crickhowell’s Walking Festival. The festival is a well-established feature on the local calendar. It attracts walkers from all over the country, as well as locals keen to embrace the great scenery that we have on offer.

This year the festival starts on 24th February and runs until 4th March. Each day there is a selection of walks to choose from, ranging from one boot (easy) to four boots (up to 20 miles across the mountains and lasting all day.

For those that do not want to walk and for walkers who want something to do in the evening, there is an extensive programme of events, including talks and concerts as well as opportunities to improve your outdoor skills and much more.

Tickets for all the events are also available through the website and, again, booking is essential. You can pick up printed programmes at the Crickhowell Resource and Information Centre as well as selected venues in Abergavenny, Crickhowell and Brecon.
